私の作品の中で、人間の身体はいつも重要な位置を占めている。カメラのレンズを通してとらえる身体の拡大された部分は、見る人の眼をあざむいて、少し違った世界に導いてくれる。全体と部分、そして部分の拡大は見る人のイメージによって変化し、覆い隠されていたさまざまな野蛮な感覚をよみがえらせることができる。私の作品は身体の特徴や構成を意図しているのではない。身体をカメラという媒体を通してとらえ、あらゆる素材を考え、投入し、作品自体が強度を持ち得るようなものを目指している。その強度にいかに接近するか、模索し続けたい・・・。（2016年／奈義町現代美術館ギャラリーの個展カタログより）
The human body holds a significant position in all of my works. As captured through a camera lens, enlarged body parts in my works deceive the viewer’s eye, and lure him/her into a world that is sightly different than the common world. The entire body and a part of the body, or an enlarged part of the body, are perceived differently by viewers, depending on the pre-conceived images they possess, and can also awaken various primitive sensations that have been concealed within their minds. The purpose of my work does not lie in the characterizing or composing of the body. Rather, I aim for my works to possess their own strength my consideration and utilization of various materials, and by capturing the body through the medium of camera.
